Prior to the ceremony she kept us on track and aware of the various pieces of admin required to get married, and she asked insightful questions about my wife and I and our relationship. We, James & Andrea – the brand new Mr and Mr Barbieri – had the joy and honour of having Mel Glasswell as our celebrant for our wedding at The George Hotel in Edinburgh on the 12th of July 2025.

Mel recently conducted our wedding ceremony at Silverwood Resort. From the first video call we had with her we knew we’d be in safe hands. She has a very warm and caring personality. She didn’t just conduct our ceremony, she also helped with any queries we had and was always happy to offer her opinion if I was struggling to make up my mind about something e.g. what colour the bridesmaid’s dressing gowns should be 🙈😃 Mel really listened to what we had to say and wrote a wonderful script. She was also happy to make a few small changes to make sure it was perfect. On the morning of the wedding she visited us both and made sure we both felt at ease.
